Don’t read your copy out loud

Write like you speak. Take a moment to read your copy out loud before you post it or press send. If it doesn’t make sense coming out of your mouth, it won’t make sense on the page. Don’t use an entire paragraph when you only ne one sentence to make your point. And for God’s sake, don’t put two spaces after a period to date yourself.

Misplacement modifier

The journalism grad student in me cringes every time I see misplac modifiers in professional copy. When writing, always check your modifier phrases. “With an intuitive user interface, our team armenia phone number library creat this product!” Your team does not have an intuitive user interface (I hope); going back and reading this sentence slowly will allow you to recognize and eliminate the mistake.

Too long

Business communications buri in too much text make the communication longer than it ne s to be, making it easier to lose your audience’s attention. Keep business communications concise and use hyperlinks to add additional context and more information.

Misspell name
