Hong Kong Brand Development Council’s latest survey shows about the future
In June, the Hong Kong Brand Development Council (HKBDC) conduct a survey titl “Brand Hong Kong: The Road to Restart” to understand the measures taken by Hong Kong businesses to stay afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The survey shows that 83% of the companies survey said that their turnover has dropp from 30% to 50%. The business environment is difficult and there is still a lot of uncertainty.
While business is tough for most,
of respondents are positive or neutral about their business outlook for the year ahead, with these businesses viewing digital transformation as key to future operations and growth. Digital transformation is now seen as a strategic priority and is being adopt by 90% of respondents. The digitization of sales and marketing is critical, with many businesses taking initiatives such as developing online shopping capabilities (60% of respondents), launching digital marketing (58.2%), implementing offline and online integration (46.4%) and introducing electronic payment systems (40.9%).
