What is Newsjacking?

Basically, Newsjacking refers to an action or a set of Marketing actions carried out based on a highly popular news item or event to promote a brand and stimulate the sale of a product or service.

Some brands often take advantage of the power of social networks such as Twitter or Facebook to give their opinion on a notable circumstance that occurs at an important event such as the World Cup or the Oscars, among others.
